From Kraftwerk To Daft Punk
Exhibition shines spotlight on electronic legends
An exhibition on electronic music in the Philharmonie De Paris features an immersive installation by filter house pair Daft Punk. The celebrated French outfit of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo have created a work based on their 2005 track Technologic. The standout cut is famous for its electronically transposed voice chants, all spoken in rhythm to a beat.
Running until 11 August at the French cultural hub, the exhibition – subtitled From Kraftwerk To Daft Punk – covers a wide range of electronic music. It features 3D projections of Kraftwerk footage, Jean Michel Jarre has lent the show some of his rare private synths and the whole thing has a soundtrack put together by Laurent Garnier. Concerts, exhibitions, conferences and workshops also help complete the programme.
