Paranoid London Return with Sophomore Full Length
The album will drop in August and it’s as sleazy as you like
The previously rather mysterious duo of Paranoid London – Quinn Whalley and Gerardo Delgado – are stepping out of the shadows with a new album due for release on 30 August.
PL is a rough-edged analogue affair that finds the no-nonsense pair serve up brain-frying house and techno that is crunchy, frazzled and effortlessly lo-fi.
Harking back to the sleazy end of the original Chicago house sound, it features a number of guest vocalists – including queer scene darling Josh Caffe, A Certain Ratio’s Simon Topping and Warmduscher frontman Mutado Pintad
– who serve up deadpan lyrics that add to the bleak allure of the whole thing.
Whalley and Delgado are also playing a series of live and DJ sets between now and Christmas. They are just as mischievous and gutsy as their recorded output so head to their website to find out where and when.
