Byron the Aquarius Announces Debut Album
The eight-track LP will drop on Oslo-based label Mutual Intentions
Alabama native Byron the Aquarius is to release his debut album Astral Traveling, on Friday, 9 August. The eight-track LP comes on Oslo-based label Mutual Intentions after a few years of superb house music on labels like Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature and Kyle Hall’s Wild Oats.
A skilled musician who used to make beats for high profile hip-hop acts and spent nine years formally studying music, Byron’s productions are alive with elements of jazz, funk and soul, all with an expansive cosmic horizon.
The album promises the usual jazz, soul, house and hip-hop elements but also plenty of the artist’s own string arrangements, Fender Rhodes playing and, we’re told, even some of his own rapping.
