Calibre Announced as XOYO’s Summer Resident
The drum & bass don will curate 10 parties at the London venue
Drum & bass don Calibre will kick off his 10-week residency at London’s XOYO on 5 July. The Sound Signature boss will play each and every Friday until 6 September.
Names such as Ben UFO, Mala, Loefah, Joe Orbison, DJ Marky, dBridge and Doc Scott will join him down in the Basement across the parties, as well as hip-hop acts like Children of Zeus and dub dons like Mark Ernestus and Mad Professor. The man himself will also pay a special ambient set one night.
Real name Dominick Martin, the Northern Irish DJ is one of the most prolific artists in the scene, with an always deep, liquid sound that rolls on slick drums and comes with some of the most emotive keys and chords in the game.
In conjunction with the residency, he’ll release a limited edition EP called Cowper Street – the address where you’ll find XOYO. It’s exclusively available to ticket buyers and lands on Calibre’s own label.
