Dekmantel Festival Reveals Line-up For 2020
Expect a mix of creative influential acts and cutting-edge hot young talent
Dekmantel Festival is one of the most respected of them all, and this year it returns to the green fields and shady meadows of Amsterdamse Bos, from Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August, with a mix of legends and hot young talent.
Big names include Theo Parrish, who’ll play a marathon 10-hour set, EBM forefathers Front 242 and 808 State, while there’s a tasteful mix of house, electro and techno DJs such as Helena Hauff, Hunee, DJ Harvey, DJ Stingray, Skee Mask & Stenny, Laurel Halo, Robert Hood, Floating Points and many more.
Described by the Dekmantel team as “one of the most stunning and natural surroundings our home city has to offer”, Amsterdamse Bos is three times larger than New York's Central Park and it becomes a tasteful adult playground during these event, with the famous UFO stage and its vast semi-circular screens making for a spaceship-like experience, the Greenhouse with its overflowing jungle greenery and Main Stage out in the full sun, all with some of the best light and sound in the scene.
If you can’t wait for the weekend, Dekmantel also takes over several urban locations on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 July, with minimalism pioneer Philip Glass and Japanese experimental band Goat amongst those performing at the Muziekgebouw Aan’t IJ.
