Ibiza Gets Brand New Club for Summer 2019
Octan Ibiza is coming to the White Isle this July
New club Octan Ibiza takes over what used to be known as Sankeys and hopes to recapture some of the magical vibes of the famous basement space. The new owners say it will be a place to hear independent underground artists away from the big ticket sellers you’ll find on the rest of the island. They’re also focusing on making an environment “more intimate and personal” than some of the traditional super clubs.
Musical Director Ryan O’Gorman says: “The events we plan to work with in 2019 are primarily four-to-the-floor musically, from house to techno generally speaking. We are blessed with a multitude of smaller rooms at the club where we will be focusing on more alternative sounds and we will be experimenting with some special one-off events this summer.”
It kicks off on 7 July with the return of Steve Lawler’s Warriors party and DJs like FUSE man Enzo Siragusa, Seb Zito and Ben Stirling. Residents have been announced as Lindsey Matthews, Kellie Allen and Stephane Ghenacia, with art direction from abstract painter Nicholas Dixon and a larger refurbishment planned before next season.
