Check Out These Incredible Club Shots
Relive the moment – or see what you missed – at Printworks
Capturing the atmosphere of a club isn’t easy. But when it’s done right a good club shot will transport you into the thick of the dancefloor action.
As we wait for the new season to kick in at Printworks London, this awesome photo gallery shows why the South London venue has made such an impact since it opened in January 2017.
In all, 439 artists performed across 49 shows at the venue between September 2018 and May 2019. Over 200,000 partygoers crossed the industrial threshold, dancing to 397 hoursof music across techno, house and disco to jungle, drum & bassand grime.
Some of the industry’s most respected artists and institutions have appeared at the club with standalone events from The Hydra, Cocoon, Afterlife, RAM Records, Klockworks, Anjunadeep, Circo Loco, Defected, Hospitality, Eskimo Dance, Glitterbox, AVA Festival, Annie Mac Presents and more.
The new season gets off to a flying start too with The Hydra throwing a three-day party over August Bank Holiday Weekend. It kicks off on Friday, 23 August, with iamCrü faves Nils Frahm (with visuals by Stuart Bailes) and Tom Middleton under his Global Communication alias. The following night sees Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, Model 500 and Helena Hauff take control, with Larry Heard, Theo Parrish, Carl Craig, Moodymann, DãM-Funk and more in charge of the Sunday session.
Another important date for your diary is Saturday, 14 September, when Aphex Twin drops into Printworks as part of the Red Bull Music Festival London. Expect a unique, custom-built stage with lasers and 306 LED panels transmitting visuals from long-term Aphex collaborators Weirdcore. Manchester electro producer Afrodeutsche, Uganda drum troupe Nihiloxica and ambient artist Caterina Barbieri are the handpicked support.
